Privacy notice
This page is maintained by the TravelPool operator to explain what personal information the app collects, why, and your rights under UK data protection law.
Who we are

What we collect
- Your account email and display name; trips and membership; decisions and votes; expenses, splits and settlements; itinerary items; notifications; private preference answers; and Concierge conversations you start.
How we use it
- To provide TravelPool, authenticate you, show your trips and let groups organise decisions, money and plans. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Privacy by design
- Individual preference answers remain private. Group preference summaries are anonymised and only appear when enough travellers have responded.
- We do not process or hold customer payments.
Retention and deletion
- Account and trip data are kept while your account is active. If you request deletion, your profile is anonymised after 30 days; shared financial history remains without your identifying profile fields.
Your UK GDPR rights
- You can ask to access, correct, export, restrict or erase your personal data. Contact privacy@travelpool.co.uk. You may also complain to the UK ICO.
Security
- Data is encrypted in transit. Database row-level security restricts access to appropriate user and trip data. Authentication passwords are handled by the authentication provider using secure password storage.
